Topical
Sorry for the lateness of today’s comic; the computer used to create Sheercore was in the hospital yesterday. It’s back on its feet now, thankfully, and we’re back in business. On that topic, if you’re running Mac OS X and you’re in the market for a drive backup/restore utility, I can highly recommend SuperDuper (at least until we all have Time Machine).
The conversation detailed in the strip never actually happened, but it’s characteristic of many sudden topic-changes I’m known for. Today’s strip features Louise as the bemused other person, since she mentioned she wanted to guest star in the strip when we were in the pub last night. No doubt the first of many such appearances.
Panel 1: Fun things to do, #46: Changing the topic while alarmingly claiming not to. Panel 2: Louise and Matt are talking. Louise: "... so she actually ended up having plastic surgery!” Panel 3: Matt: “Interesting. And on that very topic, I’m kind of hungry right now.” Tooltip: Always aim for a look of stunned disbelief on the other person’s face. If they’re female and they instinctively cross their arms over their chest, you’ve done particularly well.

Wow, this strip is basically exactly what I do, both for awkward topic changes and when I’m bored with what your saying and want to express my super important idea.
